Around the opening day's SIHH

The new Girard-Perregaux Laureato Watch Review
We'd an amazing begin to the show with Vacheron Constantin, where we've got to determine and relish the impressive Atelier Cabinotier Celestia. Later that morning we've got a pleasant surprise at Girard-Perregaux. This past year the company, that is incidentally among the earliest manufactures on the planet, launched a restored Laureato special edition. This season it’s further improved many small amount very significant information on the timepiece and today I’m believing that this can be a serious competitor in the area of luxury sports watches, plus its cost point is just half those of its competitors. Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Which is good. We at Monochrome reach handle a number of watches

And through fairs such as the SIHH we’re in conferences, consecutive, to determine the brand’s new creations. To be honest, I wasn't convinced by last year’s special edition from the Laureato (or possibly I had been wishing an excessive amount of for something extraordinarily good), then when I acquired to the touch, put on (and photograph) the brand new 42mm Laureato it had been great to feel and see a lot difference when compared with last year’s model. The situation continues to be reworked, GP go having a bigger movement that really fills the 42mm situation, and there’s a range of three ‘normal’ models plus one 45mm tourbillon to select from.

Within the 42mm size Laureato there is a choice between titanium, steel and titanium/pink gold, but for the 38mm automatic there isn’t any titanium, yet it's offered entirely rose gold (on 18 PG bracelet or alligator leather strap) as well as in stainless. In addition, there's a 34mm ladies model in steel or 18K pink gold, which one has a high-finish quarta movement movement.

The clous de Paris dial is extremely nice changes under different light conditions.

When I stated earlier the 42mm situation has been outfitted with Girard-Perregaux’s bigger in-house automatic movement, the calibre GP1800 that nicely fills the situation (because it should!) This movement with nice high-finish finishing, also provides a far more generous power reserve of 54 hrs (when compared to 46 hour power reserve from the GP3300 calibre in last year’s special edition, also is within the new 38mm version).

We’ll now give you the specifications and cost from the 42mm Laureato. Later we’ll return to this lovely watch by having an in-depth review and much more details.
